Early in her sophomore season, lead-off hitter Haley Johnson crossed home plate five times against Blue River, a co-op of David City, East Butler and Shelby-Rising City. NBC needed every one of those runs, winning 14-13.

Junior Madison Bishop scored five runs in the opening game of the 2021 season, in what would become the highest scoring game in school history, a 21-16 loss to Logan View/Scribner-Snyder.
