It only took Bauer seven games to amass more receiving yards than anyone previous Tiger had done in a single season. Blessed with good size (6-foot-2), leaping ability (state medalist in the triple jump) and exceptional hands, Bauer had the greatest season of any North Bend pass catcher in history during his 2008 senior campaign. That season he was the Tigers' big play threat, with four games of 100 or more receiving yards and a total of 10 touchdown catches.
