Summary: Well, David didn't get Goliath this time. The sixth-seeded West Point Cowtippers had their string of upsets come to an end as Howells won its third Golden Tractor and completed the first undefeated season in Farmland history.
West Point held a 10-9 lead early, but then scoring became a problem for the Cowtippers. Howells reeled off a 21-4 run that included a five-minute scoreless streak for West Point. A 3-pointer by Andrew Faltys gave Howells a 30-14 lead with 5:52 to go in the first half. The Hoosier lead peaked at 51-26 when Luke Hegemann opened the second half with four straight points. Hegemann led Howells with 23 points in the game. The lead hovered around 20 points until the Copwtippers mounted a run with just under 11 minutes left. West Point scored 12 unanswered points, with Jeremy Yosten hitting a 3-pointer and Matt Lueshen scoring 6 points during the scoring spree. The 12-0 run got West Point to within shouting distance, trailing 60-50 with 8:32 remaining. Hegemann restarted the Howells offense with a post move, sparking the Hoosiers' own 10-0 run, pushing the lead back to 20 with just under five minutes to go. From there, Howells brought home a 78-59 win.
