General Election 2022
Updated 11/14/22 12:25 p.m.
Monday, Nov. 14, 12:25 p.m.: Dodge County has updated its numbers and they are now the final unofficial vote totals. These vote totals will remain unofficial until they are approved by the election commission, which will likely happen later this week. Saunders County have also declared their votes unofficial final.
Friday 4:31 p.m. - Same. No update.
Friday 10:38 a.m. - Dodge County has still not provided a vote count update since the early morning hours of Wednesday. However, they are still ahead of Colfax County which has provided no updates other than its early voting totals shortly after polls closed. This has been the longest it has taken to finalize a vote in the years the Eagle has been providing election night coverage.
Thursday Noon - No updates anywhere yet.
Wednesday 11:15 a.m. - Saunders County came out with an update early this morning, including Morse Bluff votes for the first time sine reporting the pre-election day votes. These are likely the final vote tallies for Morse Bluff.
Dodge County clerk Fred Mytty told the Eagle there are still three outstanding precincts that have yet to be counted, and they include the rural area north of North Bend and will have an effect on the school board race. Currently, the NBC school board vote totals reflect about 60% of the votes cast in the 2018 election, the last midterm election. Mytty said final numbers from this final precincts will likely not be released until Thursday.
1:17 a.m. - Hey, just kidding. Just as we were ready to head out, Saunders County dropped another update. Those numbers have been added to the school board race. There have still been no election day votes counted from the village of Morse Bluff. Now, we will bid you good night.
1:07 a.m. - Dodge County provided a minor update, adding only about 10 votes to school board totals. At this point, the Eagle is going to call it a night. Judging from recent years, we believe about half the votes are still outstanding. We will continue to update totals on Wednesday as additional numbers are added.
11:50 - Both Dodge County and Saunders County have had major updates. Looking at numbers for past elections, we estimate that about half of the vote are in for the races we are following. As the Saunders County update included new numbers in the NBC board race but not in the Morse Bluff village race, it appears that no election day votes have been counted in Morse Bluff yet.
10:34 p.m. - Colfax County has made its first election day report, adding just a few votes to the NBC Board race. These are likely all votes that will come from Colfax County in this race.
10:01 p.m. - One of the rural Dodge County precincts must have reported, as a handful of votew were added to the NBC school board race, but the North Bend city races are unchanged.
9:04 p.m. - Saunders County has provided its first update. Again, all votes reflected below are early voting results. No one has any election day numbers to report yet.
8:40 p.m. - Election watch 2022 is under way! With polls closing within the hour, just some of the early votes are reported at this time. Saunders County has yet to report anything.
The Eagle will be tracking the local races listed below on election night.
