Scenes of the Rawhide Creekby Nathan Arneal The Rawhide Creek was once a prominent feature of southern Dodge County. But the last centruy has seen it sliced by cutoff ditches and fillied in by farmers. Below are images from along the creek's historical route taken in July 2021. As Nathan followed the Rawhide to the Elkhorn, he noticed another blue line marking another creek near the Rawhide. He zoomed in and it was labeled "Rawhide Creek Old Channel." That old channel is marked in darker blue on the maps above and below.
