Community invited to pre-Old Settlers events planned for BRANby Mary Le Arneal The community is invited to the city park Tuesday, June 6, while the BRAN riders and staff are visiting. There are lots of activities planned and the Chamber of Commerce committee planning the event would like boost excitement about the event and have area residents involvement. “We would like to have a few people available to cheer them on as they cross the finish line,” planning committee member Katy Bode said. Activities that will be going on in the park include live music by the Dylan Bloom Band (6:30-9:30 p.m.), Duff Campbell with The Descendents (3:30 - 6 p.m.) and Rollie Otte’s student polka band throughout the day. There will be a beer garden serving beer, frozen daiquiris and frozen margaritas. The Legion teams will host a baseball games versus David City starting at 5:45 p.m. and 8 p.m. Dinner and concessions will be served by the churches, Boy Scouts and the Baseball Association.
