Dry Platte RiverParched Platte: A small ribbon of water winds throuhg an otherwise dry and dust river bed near the North Bend-Morse Bluff bridge.

Due to the hot, dry weather and the increased demand on the city’s water system, the City of North Bend is asking that all residents voluntarily restrict lawn watering.

Homes with addresses that end in even numbers are asked to water only on even numbered days. Those homes with addresses that end in odd numbers to only water on odd numbered days. Residents are also asked not to water lawns between the hours of 10 a.m. and 7 p.m.

Voluntary restrictions at this time will help assure that all water needs will be met throughout the summer.
