“The Union Pacific Railroad has always been a big part of our community,” Larson said. “This is one more way we benefit from their presence. We really appreciate their donation.”

For more that 50 years the Union Pacific Foundation has upheld the tradition of supporting community and civic programs. Grants to non profit organizations support community, cultural, and health and human services.

The North Bend Library Foundation continues to accept donations to help pay for items not in the general construction contract. Wolf gives examples such as landscaping, book shelves, furniture, desks, special storage needs, stackable chairs for the community room, a projector and screen and computers.
