NBC aiming for EHC title

The Tiger easily passed through the first round of the East Husker Conference tournament Thursday, Oct. 6, beating Stanton in straight sets. The No. 2 seeded Tigers will play Scribner-Snyder in the semi finals Saturday.

Gators sweep NBC

Wisner-Pilger took control of the East Husker Conference race with a 3-0 win in North Bend. Alle Flamme had the hot hand for the Tigers, but it wasn't enough as WiPi went on too many scoring runs. The Gators took the match 25-19, 25-21, 25-21.

NB Invite runners-up

NBC took second at its own invitational with a dominating win over Logan View followed by a loss in the championship game to undefeated Scotus.

Tigers sweep triangular

North Bend beat Pender for the second time in the early season in a triangular hosted by the Dragons. Despite the hosts jumping to early leads in both sets, NBC won 25-20, 25-16. The Tiger netters also beat Emerson-Hubbard 25-13, 25-17.

NBC gets rated by OWH

According to the Omaha World-Herald, North Bend enters the 2011 season as the No. 9 ranked team in Class C-2. For more on the preseason volleyball rankings, see the Eagle Web Log.

Tigers start play in Northeast Nebraska Classic

North Bend Central will start its volleyball season in the 12-team, two-day Northeast Nebraska Volleyball Classic starting Thursday. NBC will take part in pool play at Wisner-Pilger Thursday, with games against Allen and Wayne. Teams will be then assigned to gold, silver and bronze brackets Saturday.
