The city of North Bend and the North Bend Chamber of Commerce have worked together to produce a new website for the city: northbendne.com.

The website replaces a site that was produced by a third party. This web site was designed and built locally by Chamber president Nathan Arneal, with input from members of the North Bend community.

“The internet is the front door to the world and we wanted North Bend to put its best foot forward,” Arneal said. “If someone is on the internet researching a place to live — and we know this has happened before — we hope this gives them the opportunity to learn what a great community we have in North Bend.”

Among the features of the website is a list of area businesses that are members of the Chamber of Commerce, with links to the businesses’ websites, if available.

The site also features a photo gallery of North Bend pictures that local residents can contribute to.

City water and sewer bills can also be paid online through the website.
Other sections of northbendne.com showcase Old Settlers, local schools, the city’s parks and recreation, community projects undertaken in recent years and information on North Bend’s churches, organizations and history.

Arneal said one of the benefits of the Chamber and city doing its own website will be the ability to make changes and updates instantly instead of going through a third party.
