Nathan Hall grew up on his mother’s family farm, west of Morse Bluff, the sixth of seven children of Cecilia and Jerry Hall.

The family attended Sacred Heart parish in Cedar Hill where Hall and his cousin, Joie Bauer, were the servers for every Sunday until Bauer’s brothers got older and the O’Brien brothers moved into the parish.

On May 28 Hall was ordained into the priesthood at Cathedral of the Risen Christ in Lincoln, with his six siblings and many others attending.

On May 29 he celebrated his first Mass at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, on the altar that his dad built for the parish in 1974. The vestments Hall wore for this special occasion were made by his mother, Cec Hall. Seventeen priests came to celebrate with Hall as well as nine nuns, including another NBC graduate, Sister Mary Clare Minarick.
