Budget audit reviewed, new council seated

Last Tuesday, Dec. 6, the North Bend City Council held two meetings with two difference councils.

Some shuffling of seats took place in between meetings, with newly elected councilmen Bart Bosco and Rod Scott taking their seats at the council table, replacing outgoing councilmen Tim Blackmon and Kevin Ferguson.

Blackmon had served on the council for a little more than seven years, while Ferguson has served 9-and-a-half years and had been president of the city council.

Emily Kirschenmann was elected by the council to serve as its new president.
Departmental appointments were made as follows: health and safety - Tom Mullally, pool and park - Kirschenmann, auditorium - Scott, water and sewer - Bosco.

Before the changes were made, the old council reviewed the city’s annual audit in the first meeting with Kent Speicher of Erickson & Brooks.
