Members of the North Bend Area Community Foundation met with the staff and volunteers of Rebuilding Together North Bend to give the Rebuilding group a check for $5,000 as a fulfillment of a grant they applied for with the foundation to establish a presence in North Bend. It will help those in need of maintenance and minor construction projects for individuals, or families who need help keeping their homes safe and healthy.

The group met at the Gloria Sedlecek home where the Rebuilding Together had built a railing at the front door, reversed the back storm door hinges and put a stoop by the back door as well as put steps and hand rail on a shed in the back yard. John Buller and Rick Hobza were the principal workers on this project.

“North Bend Area Community Foundation Fund board members are pleased to present Rebuilding Together a grant for $5,000 to support work in the North Bend and Morse Bluff area,” NBACF treasurer Deanna Wolf said. “Rebuilding Together workers improve our community by providing home repair and modifications.

"Safe and healthy homes falls under the mission of those donating to the North Bend Area Community Foundation – providing health and welfare benefits to the North Bend Morse Bluff area. Thank you for the great work you do. The North Bend Area Community Foundation is pleased to support Rebuilding Together. The work and resources you can provide will improve the quality of life for many in our area.”
