Though they have been operating RJ’s Bar and Grill for a month, brothers Mace and Sheldon Curry are now the official owners of the downtown North Bend establishment.

They have a temporary liquor license and have signed papers with former owner Lenora Johnson, so the place is now theirs.

Along with new owners comes a new name: “Last Second Saloon.” A new sign will the Last Second logo is in the works to replace the RJ’s sign out front. What is the story behind the name?

“It’s one we could agree on,” Mace Curry said with a chuckle.

A change in the menu will bring a walleye and catfish special on Friday nights. Starting March 15 there will be green beer and free corned beef and cabbage until it is all gone.

“It’s going really well,” Curry said. “We are enjoying it. Everyone is great.”.
