Circus coming to North Bend

Lions, tigers and clowns, oh my!

The circus is coming to North Bend. On Monday, Aug. 12, the North Bend Chamber of Commerce will host the Culpepper & Merriweather Circus on the lot between Birchwood Manor and NBC high school.

Francis the lion is one of the show's featured acts.

The C&M Circus, based out of Hugo, Oklahoma, features everything you associate with a traditional circus: lions, tigers, high-flying acrobats, clowns, and much more (sorry, no elephants). For more on the C&M Circus, including photos and videos, visit the circus's Facebook page here.

Show times: The circus will preform two shows on Monday, August 12, at 5 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Each show will last an hour and a half.

Tickets: [Note: Advance sales are now over. Tickets on the day of the show must be purchased at the circus box office, which opens at 4 p.m.] Advance tickets cost $6 for kids age 2-12 and $10 for adults. ($7 and $13 at the door day of show). Tickets are available at Platte Valley Bank, Ron's Pharmacy, Do-It-Best Hardware and the North Bend Eagle. Kids younger than 2 do not need a ticket. The North Bend Chamber of Commerce receives a percentage of ticket revenue, which will be used to fund community events like Old Settlers and the Christmas pancake feed.

The staff and management of the Culpepper & Merriweather Circus are deeply committed to continuing a tradition of old fashioned family entertainment. See you at the circus!
