Some pictures just don't work in a black and white newspaper, so we didn't even try with these. These pictures showing a May 31 lightning storm over North Bend were taken from Country Road 'S' looking south. In most of the pictures you can see the North Bend Grain elevator lit up with a red beacon on top.
